Following the visit of a 13-member delegation from the American Jewish Congress (AJC) to Ankara, AJC President Theodore Mann writes in a letter explaining the reason for the visit that “US Congress… has not been as appreciative of Turkey’s geopolitical importance as it should be.” He also writes about “the improving relationships between Turkey and Israel,” and of “the importance we place on a strong and durable relationship between the United States and Turkey.”
